POOLSIDE “POCKET PRAIRIE”

Planted: Spring 2022
Transformation of a disused garden space filled with a mix of invasive plants into a small but dense and highly diverse patch of prairie. Plant selection emphasized warm season prairie grasses and sun-loving, brightly colored flowers.

FRONT YARD TRANSFORMATION
WITH RAIN GARDEN

Planted: Fall 2022
Overhaul of an entire front yard after the client had a new retaining wall installed. The design included new perimeter and foundation plantings, sod pathways, and a rain garden bed as the visual and ecological centerpiece of the front landscape. The project qualified for a rebate from Montgomery County’s Rainscapes Rewards program.

STONEWORK

Planted: Fall 2022
Large field stones embedded in a slope and a retaining wall installed as part of larger front landscape conversion focused on replacement of invasive english ivy with native plants. The two-foot natural stone wall created a physical and visual barrier between a new planting bed and a steep slope where the existing ivy was retained.
